FRENCH LETTER:
Fresh into the NYC rock-n-roll scene are a little known band surely to make it big in the near future: THE FRENCH LETTER. Featuring members and ex-members of bands such as Pansy Division, The Avengers, and Early Man, this band knows how to get busy. Somewhere between the work ethic and yearning to play beyond their means of The Clash, the somber reality check of U2 before they hit puberty, the punk ethos and sweat glands of the early 80’s California punk scene, and the dance floor posing's of people we love to resent and plot against currently, The French Letter hope to find a home in New York. Making their return to QBR, The French Letter boys are ready to rock your pants off!
INNER PRINCESS is a collaboration that began after an escape from a sadistic Mormon beauty reform school in Sothern Utah. Tdog, LeeFree and Sir Becca of the Blackwells decided to ride
east to Brooklyn, NY where the boys can be girls and the girls can be anything they wanna be. They bring their gender bending genre blending
brash brand of rawkus music to your listening pleasure. Break out your boa, dust off the tiara cuz Inner Princess is your bladder relieved.
NYC’s answer to a 1950s B-rate horror movie soundtrack is LADYSTEIN. Once a duo and now recently formed into a quartet, Ladystein have no fear mentioning they are influenced by the Shaggs but better. Mixing humor with lo-fi pop, Ladystein sound at times like April March, the Ditty Bops, or if Dawn Weinerdog from Welcome to the Dollhouse had her own band. (Photo by Erik Konon)
